		<description>I&#039;ve seen the same phenomena in the United States. When some Americans go overseas to study, they come back to the States with a similar sort of attitude. It seems most common among American academics who have gone to Europe. 

Almost everyone wants to be special in some way. For some, they think that studying abroad makes them special. This is fine, at least until they think it automatically makes them better than others.
